Hassocks, Keymer & Ditchling Transition Initiative
HKD Transition is a group of residents of Hassocks, Hurstpierpoint, Keymer and Ditchling and surrounding villages. The group is working to create a sustainable community by reducing our dependence on fossil fuels, scaling down our carbon footprint and increasing our resilience to the changes that lie ahead. Members are working on projects including promoting local food, garden shares and energy efficiency.

Hurst Book Club

The Hurst Book Club is open to anyone who enjoys a good read. It’s a great way to discuss books that you might not have considered before or to suggest some that everyone should!

We are a small, friendly band of ringers offering a warm welcome to all visitors whether ringers, those wishing to learn to ring, or anyone who would like to visit us in the belfry. The Hurstpierpoint Film Society is a locally run Community Cinema, which aims to provide access to some of the best films available from around the world, for the enjoyment of residents of Hurstpierpoint and surrounding areas at The Players Theatre on Hurstpierpoint High Street.
We will show a varied and diverse range of films, from recent releases, to films that have been missed by people who would have enjoyed them; independent American films and films from vibrant movie cultures around the world.

We are a friendly group of local singers who enjoy making music under the expert guidance of our musical director Stephen Hope. We rehearse on Monday evenings at 7:45pm in the Methodist Church in Cuckfield Road, Hurstpierpoint. Each year we perform a Christmas Carol concert and one or two other performances of classical choral music. All new members welcome. Come and join us - no experience required.

A drama club held on Saturday mornings for children aged 3 to 18. Our approach to drama is organic and explores all aspects of Drama within a real working theatre environment.

Holy Trinity Sunday School
is for children aged 3 - 11 years. We meet term time at 9.40am, except the first Sunday of the month, which is a Family Service. Sunday School takes place in the Guide Hut in Trinity Road car park.
It is an opportunity for children of different ages to get to know each other and sing, pray and undertake creative activities and games relating to the weekly Bible reading. In the summer we often take activities out into the garden. We join Church for communion and there are biscuits and squash after the service.
